Challenged to build a best-in-class experience that is as useful as it is beautiful, the team at Consensus launched a new Find a Doctor experience in November 2015. The initial landing page draws users into the search feature, but also tells the story of Boston Children’s through video and testimonials, selling the user on why parents choose Boston Children’s.
The search allows users to find clinicians by a variety of search criteria: name, conditions treated, specialties, departments, gender, languages spoken. Furthermore, radius-based geo-search enables users to find a doctor in a given radius (i.e. 5, 10, 20 miles) from an entered zip code.
Doctor profiles received a design refresh as well, boasting new features like video, testimonials, alongside their standard profile information. Google Maps API integration makes clicking to get directions easy for the busy parent on the go. The profile pages are inviting, engaging and give the user a real personal sense of who the physicians are.
